i finally watched forgetting sarah marshall last night; i treated myself to the unrated version. it was funny and the cast was great. paul rudd is my favorite cameo actor. the actors who played the hotel staff were great in their roles as well.

when i went to sleep last night, i dreamt of a ex gf and we decided to get back together (even though we had not talked in years) we were going to a party of her friends. i picked her up at her dad’s house and while we were waiting for her friends to show up, it snowed.

when we left the house, there was 2 feet of snow, so we decided to walk to the party (which was instant in dream time) when we got there, it was all of her friends from high school who were surprised to see me.

then i woke up… luckily.

on a related note; i finished the salt n pepper chips last night as well. don’t know if i’ll buy them again, they’re tasty as hell, but the dreams they cause are freaking weird.

salt n peppa chips bring the apocalypse…

dream that is.

brian, me and a third person were defending our home at 30 galloway lane after a apocalypse. we were doing pretty well, we had cars lined up in front of the house to keep out looters. we were planning on putting cars along the sides of the house as well when we got attacked!

the third person was the first to get killed; chopped up to bits by axes and machetes the looters were using. brian ran to a different part of the house and i didn’t see what happened to him.

one of the looters put a pick axe through my foot pinning me to the ground. another was about to kill me with a axe, but i grabbed a machete from the ground and killed them both.

i was going to stay and fight, but i was outnumbered, so i ran to the woods behind my house while being chased.

then i woke up…

at 3:30 am…

ugh

7 1/2 hours of overtime this week

and i’m going in today as well.

a new project at work has me working overtime again and it’s been an adjustment. i can stay late monday, wednesday and friday; but i leave at 6:30 on tuesday and thursday so i can go home, eat dinner, wash dishes, change for yoga and then go to it.

oddly enough, no one else at the office wants to work the overtime.

i’ve been thinking of putting the overtime money towards a refurbished ipad 1st gen or a blu-ray player or just putting it in my savings account.

my mom would make our lunches for us to take to school one of her creations was cream cheese and jelly, which was good. well i offer this suggestion; goat cheese and jelly.

i planned out my dinners for monday, tuesday and wednesday. tonight i’ll be making veggie chili, i wanted to do veggie stew this week, but the eggplants were small and 3.99 per pound! i did get a bag of sweet potatoes from trader joe’s yesterday and hopefully i’ll have some left over from tuesday night’s sweet potato soup to make baked sweet potatoes. wednesday night will be eggplant parm, but wait you ask, didnt i pass on the eggplants? i have a box of frozen eggplant cutlets in my freezer

i have to go through my fridge and pantry and see what’s still good. i’ve had certain foodstuffs sitting on my shelves for years. i know the breadcrumbs have gone past their expiration date

method for march

taking a cue from brian and kim, i’ve been cutting back on the dishes and utensils i use when cooking and eating. another time saver is i wash the morning dishes while cooking dinner.

i came across a money saving tip, turning $5 into $5000 which i’m going to start… as soon as i have 5 buck in my wallet.

as i blogged earlier, i went to volleyball and yoga last week and i’m going this week as well. last thursday’s yoga class was a bit different from tuesday’s and i liked that. i’m definitely going to see about joining.

i’ve also started a new daily to do list. to avoid the “dread” of doing a task, i do switch them around. for example, normally on sundays i do laundry and go food shopping. yesterday i had to get my oil changed, so i while i waited for my car, i did laundry. i went food shopping afterwards because i wanted an everything bagel for breakfast today.

so today, i get to be lazy

so i finally went to stu’s volleyball game last night and i had a blast! i checked the sign up sheet to see if more people had signed up for last night’s game. not only did more people sign up, but the game was going to start in 2 minutes! i quickly washed the pots, pans and dishes i used for dinner, got dressed and headed down. google maps was on my side and gave me good directions.

i got to the school around 7:30 and a game was already being played. i watched for a bit and when it was over, one of the people asked if i liked to play. i was given the ball, and told, you’re serving. luckily i made a good serve and the game was on!

because of the number of people who show up, the teams are rotated. you can play a game and then sit out for one or sit by the side and when the team rotates for serving, you can jump in.

one guy kept score all night if he was playing or not. and in the spirit of good sportsmanship after every game you’d give a high five and say “good game”.

i cant wait for the next game.

another vivid dream

i was dating this girl who either worked or lived at a shelter and i was taking her and this cute little girl named Alaina to get ice cream. while we were standing in line, my gf went behind the counter and was suddenly dressed in the uniform of the ice cream store staff. she took my and Alaina’s order and when we went to pay, i picked up Alaina and was joking with my gf that isn’t a cute little girl enough to pay for 2 ice creams?

that’s when the manager came out of the back and said i was causing a disturbance. it really pissed him off when i started smoking in the store. he told me to throw my cigarette outside and i did, right by the front door. i didnt put it out, so any customers that walked in, smelled smoke. while i was doing all that Alaina disappeared!

then…

i was working a grocery store and dave foley was my boss. i was trying to get stationed at a cash register, but none of the good ones were open. dave put at this small checkout which was at the end of a aisle. so much so, that i had groceries behind me. so not only did i have to ring people up, but i had to hand boxes of food to customers.

new bed dream

last night i went to sleep in my new bed. as i tweeted my feet dont hang over the end of the bed anymore. i upgraded to a queen size and yet i slept close to the edge. need to move to the middle and enjoy all the space.

the dream i had last night was odd. i went back to college and since i was paying for it myself, i volunteered around the school to lower my tuition. one thing i did was show people to their classes. i took this business class to an outdoor classroom because the teacher had a special guest speaker. since i didnt have a class to go to, i sat in the back and enjoyed the warm weather. it was so warm that i fell asleep (i didnt start dreaming within my dream tho) when i woke up, i noticed that someone took my ipod and my camera. i looked around the area just in case someone was playing a joke on me. after a few minutes of searching and not finding them i was convinced someone took them. i did find someone’s tablet, a hello kitty tablet. i was going to return it in hopes of instant karma returning my stuff. i just had to look through her emails to discover the owner’s name.
